Minnesota State Parks Series: Fort Snelling


Location: St. Paul

Date Visited: ongoing

Impressions: This is a favorite because it's so close to our house and offers so much within an easy biking distance of home. We love to take a picnic lunch and our swimsuits and hop on the bikes for an enjoyable afternoon. This state park is a gem in the midst of the urban jungle. We've tapped trees in the spring for maple syrup, swam in the lake in the summer, enjoyed the bike trails in the fall and gone on the moonlight walks in the winter. Wonderful!
